The year 2020 has started on a sour (for a lack of a better word) note for many, many, of us. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused people to lose much of what they had including jobs, houses and overall stability. It has put a strain on families, healthcare workers, small businesses and everything in between.
On the sweeter side of things, it allowed us to slow down. To stay in and reflect on the people and things that mean the most to us.
My name is Allison, and my husband and I found out we were expecting our first baby right before the pandemic hit. A girl! Ever since, it has been such a whirlwind of emotions with the uncertainty of what will happen next, how long it will last, and if things will ever go back to “normal." When the stay at home order first began I found myself just trying to stay busy. I felt helpless and unsure of everything. I wanted to help in any way possible, so when the need for handmade masks became evident, I dusted off my sewing machine and got to work. That is when I discovered my true passion for creating. Since I wasn’t able to shop and look at all the cute baby clothes stores had to offer, I decided to take a crack at sewing my own baby hats, bibs, and clothing. That is when Vuboo Baby was born!
The Vuboo baby logo is inspired by our first fur baby, Marvin, an 11-year-old Boston Terrier.
Thanks for taking the time to read our story! I hope you like what you see and continue to be part of the Vuboo Family.
